Cloud Mode is a version of the sensor that sends raw data to the Sensoterra Cloud for calibration and interpretation. You don’t have to be a soil expert to get precise data readings and interpreted data for optimum water management. With over 50+ standard calibrations offered, you can easily select and switch between soil types to get the calibration required when (re)installing the sensor. Use the Sensoterra Monitor App, or integrate data into your platform with our best-in-class API.

Calibrated Readings

You don’t have to be a soil expert to know what you’re dealing with. We’ve done the hard work for you to deliver interpreted data to know when to start- and when to stop- irrigation events with our calibrated threshold values. This means, that you can build irrigation schedules based on plant available water, ensuring soil health, reducing runoff of inputs, and optimizing water use.

How it works

  • Hourly data values are measured in the field with wireless sensors
  • Data is sent to Sensoterra servers via LoRaWAN network for calibration and interpretation
  • Volumetric Water Content percentages (vwc%) are made available via the Sensoterra Monitor App or integrated into a (custom) dashboard via the OpenAPI

And we understand that a farmer, landscaper or crop consultant does not continuously want to switch between different apps and platforms. The Local Mode Sensor

The Sensoterra Local Mode sensor is a simplified version of the Sensoterra solution. Its purpose is to be a low-cost, fully customizable sensor, with raw data to be built into existing platforms, decoded, without API integration. The sensor comes without Sensoterra Cloud Mode. If Cloud Mode services are needed, this can be enabled by Sensoterra.
