Crop Innovation & Business Conference (Crop IB) will be held on April 14-16, Amsterdam. The biennial conference brings together the most influential trends in crop innovation and value chain strategies in the agricultural market with topics like precision agriculture, indoor farming, genome sequencing, AI, consolidation, and sustainability. For Crop IB 2019, the conference aims to initiate collaboration and innovation to promote an open environment for information exchange by grouping essential elements, such as innovator pitches from start-ups, young scientists and entrepreneurs.

Sensoterra will be attending Crop IB 2019 represented by Jurriaan Ruys, Sensoterra’s CEO. Sensoterra is a market leader in hourly soil moisture measurement via wireless and low-cost probes supported by IoT technology and LoRaWAN connectivity.  The Sensoterra probes provide data, which support growers in making smart irrigation decisions, resulting in increased yield, reduction of water, and an ROI reached within one crop cycle.

In 2017, Sensoterra won the start-up pitch for the best business technology and innovation.  This year, Sensoterra will be returning with insights in company development since winning the pitch, and will elaborate on the challenges and learnings since then.

“Sensoterra was very pleased to win the 2017 Crop IB pitch award for the most innovative startup,” Ruys emphasizes, “As a very dynamic company, Sensoterra has increasingly developed since 2017, and we are very excited to share these innovations with the audience.”

Meanwhile, the conference promises to be a high-level international meeting, with participants from around 20 countries, representing over 100 different organizations.
